SPU Khon Kaen Champions English Learning and Safe Living through “EBC Discovery and Sharing Hub 2025”

In an inspiring blend of education, health awareness, and community partnership, Sripatum University Khon Kaen’s English for Business Communication (EBC) program has launched the second year of the “EBC Discovery and Sharing Hub” as part of the UYFC Music Challenge and Share No-L 2025. The initiative unites SDG-driven learning with an alcohol- and drug-free lifestyle, delivering powerful outreach that enriches both language skills and life skills for local youth.

The program aligns with SDG 4.3.1 and SDG 4.3.4, offering free, inclusive learning opportunities beyond campus, while advancing SDG 1.3.3 by indirectly supporting low-income students. Through interactive games, role-playing, and vocabulary challenges, participants not only improve their English but also learn the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse (SDG 3.3.2). Special emphasis is placed on inclusive participation, encouraging girls and women to join (SDG 5.3.4) and ensuring activities remain accessible to all (SDG 10.6.4).
Student engagement is central, with undergraduates leading community sessions, gaining real-world experience (SDG 8.4.1), and collaborating with municipal and public health bodies (SDG 9.4.1, SDG 17.2.1). The festival setting celebrates cultural exchange and public interaction (SDG 11.2.5), while reinforcing public policy on substance abuse prevention (SDG 16.3.1). These partnerships highlight SPU’s role as a leader in sustainable urban community development.
